Every since I was a teenager, I have been training in one sport or another. I began horse riding when I was five years of age and competed in showjumping from the age of 12. As a teenager, I received medals for competing in rugby and tae kwon do, becoming the Cork Female Champion in sparring when I was 16 and making the Munster ladies rugby squad. I also captained school rugby squads in senior cycle championships.
Once I left school and moved to Dublin,I struggled to find my mojo and didn’t know where to turn to stay fit. I began to run. It was new to me and I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t just run for a few miles. I wish I had known then what I know now. I wish I had known how to take small steps and build my fitness slowly. Well, with this training category, I hope to help as many people as possible reach their training goals effectively and efficiently.
