Hi, I'm Fiona O'Donnell

PERFORMANCE COACH, NUTRITIONIST AND FITNESS SPECIALIST

I started my career in the health service as a clinical physiologist. It was in this role that I discovered the impact that daily health behaviours can have on overall wellbeing. 

Over the last 23 years, I have worked with thousands of clients in lots of different areas of health and fitness. 

I acquired my personal training qualifications in Dublin while I worked in hospitals stress testing cardiac patients. I continued to develop my interest in fitness by acquiring a qualification in strength and conditioning, Pilates Matwork and TRX. Further training included Athletics Ireland, Triathlon Ireland and Swim Ireland training programmes. I also acquired my open water swim coaching qualification. 

In 2010, I began an MSc in Exercise and Nutrition Science in Chester University and followed this with a post graduate diploma in Performance Nutrition. I am currently engaged in a Masters in Applied Psychology (Positive Psychology & Coaching).

    A health coach is a professional who helps individuals develop their physical, mental and emotional health. They work with individuals to identify areas of improvement and create a plan to achieve their goals. Our approach is weight inclusive. We don’t approach health through the lens of diets or restriction. 

    Many of the clients I have worked with have spent years focussed on diets, weight loss and restriction. This has contributed to negative self image, and a negative association with different food choices. If you have been on and off diets, or if you’re struggling to achieve performance levels that you feel you should have, it may be worthwhile taking a closer look at your health behaviours. 

    During your coaching session, we will assess your current behaviours and compare those to where you would like to be. We will develop a clear and concise plan to help you to achieve your goals and use psychological assessments and tools to better understand your health behaviours. From here, we will help you to discover the path to improved performance that feels like the best option for you. 

    This varies for everyone. I have worked with clients for 3 months to achieve goals they never thought possible. Equally, many of the clients I work with have been using our platform for over 3 years. Whatever you decide, we can continue to reassess your needs as we travel along this journey together.
